Calculate by QxMD and MDCalc Medical Calculator
Introduction
With the advancement in technology, a wide variety of medical calculators are now available on App store.
Today, I would like to recommend two of my favourite free medical calculators that also work offline.
MDCalc Medical Calculator
MDCalc Medical Calculator provides access to over 900 easy-to-use clinical tools, including risk scores, algorithms, formulas and dosing calculators.
- Each tool includes a discussion of the underlying evidence and more information about the formula used, which helps users gain a deeper understanding and appreciation.

Summary
A medical calculator app is an essential tool in my daily work.
- It not only makes memorizing complex formulas a thing of the past but also ensures calculations are faster and more accurate.
- For example, the CKD-EPI 2021 update is much more complicated than the Cockcroft-Gault equation and a calculator app handles it with ease.
